About us

We are a young family from the Netherlands who moved to Romania in 2020 to start a campsite and (B&B-)accommodation.
It took us a while to find the perfect spot, which you can read about in our blogposts, but we think we managed to find a beautiful location for our plans.
We found a house in Grohoțele, comune Buces, in Hunedoara county. This is part of the Apuseni mountains. In the next few years, we wish to transform the barn to a rental appartment upstairs, and a coffeebar/home-office for the digital nomads downstairs.
For the holiday-traveler we have plenty of space for campervans, caravans and tents. We also have two glamping-tents for those who don’t own a tent (yet) but are eager to try this style of traveling. For the ultimate luxurious experience one can stay with us in a yurt, an insulated (and heated) Mongolian tent, to enjoy the surroundings here. Check the link on our Contact-page for availability through Airbnb.
We hope that staying with us makes you fall in love with this country as much as we did in 2018, when we first visited.

What to expect when you visit us

We know that the outdoors are amazing, but we also value some comfortable facilities and a decent cup of coffee. That’s why we have a terrace with a coffeebar (with barista), an outdoor kitchen for your personal use, and modern facilities.

Coffee

Most important thing to kickstart your morning.

Outdoor kitchen

Feel free to use this kitchen to cook, do your dishes and to socialize with our other guests.

Bathroom facilities

We have three showers and three toilets, and do not differentiate between genders.

Our team

When you come to our campsite you’ll be welcomed by our amazing staff who take their job very seriously.
